Bedbugs in Baltimore?
Julie Scharper, a reporter from the Baltimore Sun, is looking for people in the Baltimore, MD area who have suffered the wrath of bedbugs. A bedbug sufferer herself, she is looking to do a story on the creatures and would like to interview "regular people" who are dealing with bedbugs in Maryland.

Hello, I am a PG county Maryland resident suffering from bedbugs.I live in an apartment. I actually seen a bed bug come come through the air vent up on the ceiling and drop down to the floor and crawl to one of my kids. I caught it just in time to light it on fire. I am fed up with these things. It is 2:30 AM and I am stll awake because of them. I am afraid to sleep because of them. My children and I experience an allergic reaction whenwe are bitten by them. BEDBUGS ARE TAKING OVER

well update on the bedbug infestation in baltimore city maryland, the landlord finally got an exterminator but we are moving took him 8 months to do this. but i have to leave everything behind i can only take my clothes and thats it i must re-buy everything. when the exterminator came he said there is an outbreak in baltimore city and coutny they are coming back. it is a pain to deal with this i have worked so hard for the things i have only to lose them but im happy to say i can finally get away from this and not have to worry about it. there are no home remidies to control them i have tried everything i could think of and nothing works i think ive became a bedbug expert with all the reaserching ive done. i hope these bugs go away it is so awful to live like this and you cant go to your families houses in fear of bringing them to their house.
I am a pg county resident, also suffering with bed bugs. i dont know where they came from, it seems as if from thin air. i got about 50+ bites before i realized they were bed bug bites. i was thinking it was impossible. where the heck did they come from all of a sudden? at first i thought it was an allergic reaction i was having to somthing. then one night while i was laying in bed. it hit me! i was like "SOMETHING IS BITING ME!" i threw the blanket back, jumped up and saw a little red bug, barely. so now at least i know im not crazy. but this bug was so small i doubted it was a bed bug. got on the internet, googled "bugs that bite in bed" and all other crazy things. the only thing it kept leading me to is bed bugs. about a week later i saw a bigger one, which i could clearly see no doubt was a bed bug. since then (about a month ago) ive seen about 10. crawling across my dressor, on the couch, in the kitchen sink, on my shirt when i was on my way out the door, etc. as of late ive been sleeping in the crib with my son, yes A CRIB. honestly i would sleep outside (if need be) with the other millions species of bugs, than to be bit up by these vicious things. i havent gotten bit since i've started cribbing it, but from what i heard its only a matter of time before they find me. i cant run forever!
I personally don't have them *knock on wood* but a very close friend of mine has been dealing with them for several months now. It is ridiculous!! They have been non-stop trying to get rid of them. They are in dyre strengths due to the ecomony and are spending money they don't have on the exterminators. I have been on other websites and they all are saying the same thing. This seems to be a common thread with the immigrants from mexico. I know it may seem racist but hear me out... In Mexico they didnt have a very powerful chemical that up until the mid 70's we used on almost everything called DDT.. the epidemic hasn't popped up until the 90's which is when the spike in illegals started.
My friend lives in Baltimore City in an old row home that has Mexicans on either side of her. They are packed in there with several "residents" coming in and out. This is more than troublesome... this needs to stop. Unfortunately, I can't see any solution for this as almost everyone in the city lives in rowhomes and several people are surrounded by (no offense) illegals. I don't see any end is site.
